I am going to shift gears again here in my scribbles in this book, because I was inspired the other day up at the gym when I was just about finished with my workout.I was on an endorphin high and I smacked my head on the metal steel lat bar.And since I was so pumped up I barely felt it.Having smacked my head under similar circumstances before my work out and it hurt like hell.It dawned on me that everything including pain is all circumstantial. And the pain that we feel or in my circumstance don’t feel depends on the pain killing instruments that we use to help us.My drug is working out and I was wondering if I could invent a machine to inflict a quantitative amount of pain while I workout to describe and workout how much iron I would have to pump to be pain free.In other words what kind of workout would completely anastatise me against unlimited pain.
Just like a dentist gives the patient a ceartain amount of a chosen pain killer to eliminate the pain of working on a patients teeth.I am thinking about standardizing a workout that will help me to eliminate the pain of little aches and pains, and even things like the common cold.Or maybe there would be different workouts for different aches-like back,neck,etc..For instance I tore the muscle in my shoulder skiing. And I layed off lifting for almost a week just to let it heal.I found it really hard to give up lifting weights.I just did lot of stationary biking and running. My shoulder did seem to heel. And when I started lifting again it was still a little sore.I noticed that I was favoring the hurt shoulder. While lifting I was leaning away from the bad shoulder and putting more weight on my good shoulder. So our bodies do compensate for an injury. And I came up with a special workout for an injury almost instinctively. This is why working out can never be too routine.I have to compensate for lack of sleep, fatigue from work and so on.I have found that it is always better to move the flesh and not give in to sloth and skipping the workout.Someday when I am retired maybe I will study exercise physiology.I would find it fascinating. When I am lifting I can think of so many projects to research.Someday maybe in retirement I may find my niche. Some things like eliminating cold symptoms by raising the body temperature by working out for long periods of time
